Is the Jayco Jay Feather a good travel trailer?

Even though the Jay Feather is a laminated lightweight travel trailer, it’s packed heavy with value added construction features! It’s no wonder people are switching from the Forest River Nobo, Rockwood Geopro, Grand Design Imagine, and Keystone Passport to the Jayco Jay Feather. Jay Feather has been a top selling brand since 2004, offering a versatile line up of double axle bunk houses, couples coaches, non-slide smaller trailers and larger single slide trailers. What sets the Jay Feather apart from the competition isn’t just their standard construction like the Magnum Truss Roof system, vacuum bonded laminated walls, strong Norco integrated A frame, and Goodyear tires, but also, they include an insane amount of features the competition can’t keep up with.

The Glacier package with an enclosed underbelly comes standard on all Jay Feathers. This includes a corrugated polypropylene enclosure fastened to the frame, which makes for better aerodynamics, and repels water and rodents. It also includes extra insulation around the holding tanks, which extend camping season, keeping units cooler in summer and warmer in spring and fall. All Jay Feather models are solar prepped with optional roof mounted solar and control panels. There’s also an optional feature to utilize TPMS when outfitted with the JayCommand Smart System. Quality materials are used on the interior of all Jayco units which include hardwood framing throughout, residential pull shades, plywood substrate in showers for added support, and residential grade 75-lb. capacity drawers in all areas of the trailer, just to name a few. They also have patent pending table trays included with their theater seats.

What is the difference between the Jay Feather and Jay Feather Micro?

The Jay Feather Micro was launched in fall 2020. The Micro is the lightest travel trailer from Jayco—towable by most mid-size tow vehicles and perfect for first time trailer owners! The construction on the Jay Feather and Micro are virtually the exact same except for a few things. The single axle Micro is more compact sleeping up to 7 people whereas the double axle Jay Feather can sleep up to 10. Jay Feathers can be up to 36 feet in length and Micros max out at about 23 feet.
