Or maybe the water starts, then sputters and stops. It also acts as the drain plug when winterizing. If it\u2019s not reinstalled in spring, the water heater can\u2019t hold water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">To fix it, locate your water heater outside the RV and thread the anode rod or drain plug back into place.
