It\u2019s like having one superstar athlete carrying the entire team \u2013 you start to wonder if their back hurts from all that weight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Fifth wheels, on the other hand, are mostly holding steady with a slight increase. shifts.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">After several months of consistency, used motorhome values jumped, mainly due to a big flurry of sales of high-end Class A\u2019s finally selling after sitting at auctions for a while.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Towables slid down a bit, which is unusual for this time of year, despite higher auction volumes.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">More than 11% more units were sold this year compared to last year, but the pressure from the new RV market\u2019s focus on budget offerings and current market demand has really pushed used market pricing downward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">With the 2025 models starting to make their way onto lots, it\u2019s expected that these values will slip a little more as the season comes to an end.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">So, if you&#8217;re in the market for a used RV, keep an eye out class=\"has-medium-font-size\">It\u2019s important to remember \u2013 RV shipments do NOT mean RV sales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">The most recent stats paint a less-than-awesome picture.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Travel trailers, which are easily the largest volume segment, are down 12% from 26,327 to 23,203 units.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Fifth wheels are down even more, with a 15.9% decrease from 6,375 to 5,364 units.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Over in the motorized segment, it\u2019s even tougher.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Class A motorhomes are down 20% from 885 to 708 units, Class C\u2019s are down almost 22% from 2,285 to 1,784, and the Class B \u201cvan life\u201d trend is trending out, down nearly 30% from 1,251 to 878 units.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">This has created an interesting interaction between dealers and RV manufacturers.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Manufacturers who build \u201copen\u201d units are cutting major deals to get unsold units off their books.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"750\" height=\"500\" brought in as they try to \u201clean out\u201d their lots to make room for incoming 2025s.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">However, over the course of this year, dealers have brought in 1.5% more inventory than they\u2019ve sold nationally.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">While that\u2019s not a huge percentage, anytime I see more RVs built and at a dealer lot than selling, I raise my eyebrows.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">So, on the whole, dealers have more in stock now, and the 2025s are about to come piling in.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:28px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"has-text-align-center has-text-color\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">As we dive into the question of whether now is a good time to buy an RV, it&#8217;s clear that the answer depends on mulitple factors.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">There&#8217;s never a universally &#8220;right&#8221; or &#8220;wrong&#8221; time to buy; it ultimately comes down to your personal readiness and specific circumstances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">If you buy now, you&#8217;ll still have some good camping season left to enjoy, even though values might have slipped.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">However, with the new 2025 models arriving, used prices and new 2024 inventory values are likely to dip further.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p
