Sometimes an RV\u2019s \u201cAdvertised\u201d Price is Higher Than Its \u201cReal\u201d Price \u2014 MAP Pricing<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

MAP stands for “Minimum Advertised Price”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

RV Dealerships are required to list <\/em>some brands of RVs, including Imagines and Jay Feathers, <\/em>at a minimum advertised price (MAP) online. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

All new RVs that have MAP requirements will be listed for the same online price across all dealers nationwide. RVs listed at MAP will usually only show the MSRP Price (Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price<\/em>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You\u2019ll know you\u2019re looking at an RV with MAP if the dealer\u2019s website shows an RV at MSRP with a button or link that has wording like:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cRequest price,\u201d \u201cGet too low to show Price,\u201d \u201cGet Best price,\u201d \u201cGet lowest price,\u201d or \u201cUnlock lower price.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A dealer can legally only give you their “real” price information if you interact with them by clicking on the buttons \u2013 or contact the dealer directly via text, email, phone or in-store visit.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

So if you’re shopping and you see a button that says get a lower price, it’s not a scam. Feel free to click the link. You can also send a message to the dealer, give them a call or stop in. They\u2019ll happily give you their “real” price.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
