Living in the 2024 Rockwood 2616BH
The dining area of the 2024 Rockwood 2616BH is not only made up of a breakfast bar, but it also has a separated dining area (if you want it to be as such). It can also just be used all together as a bedroom instead with that bunk overhead and the use of the dinette cushions. See the image below.
Theater seats sit directly across from the TV which technically is in the kitchen above that breakfast bar that I mentioned earlier. But you won’t be breaking you neck trying to see the TV because it’s positioned well.
The 2616BH has two centralized air units that run at 30,000 BTUs (the second is optional), which cools down the (almost) 30ft RV super well.
The outlets next to the dinette come installed with an inverter – it’s nice that you don’t have to worry about that expense down the road.
Kitchen of the 2024 Rockwood 2616BH
One thing to take note of in the kitchen of the 2616BH is the limited storage space. You really aren’t given a whole lot of nooks and crannies to put things. You are, however, given the small pantry next to the theater seats which isn’t much – but hey, we will take it!
The kitchen does have a campside view window, which is great for when you’re doing any indoor cooking or meal prep. If the rest of your group is outside and you’re the one stuck inside doing the hard work at the stove, you could pop open that window there and still feel like you’re part of the crew.
Another great feature I should mention is the pop-up power tower on the kitchen counter which makes plugging in appliances and devices easy.
Bathroom of the 2024 Rockwood 2616BH
The 2616BH bathroom works well giving RVers enough space to do what they need to do. Forest River did take an interesting route on the sink but like I said – it works. You’ll see in the picture below it’s a very cool rhombus shape! I guess you could say it’s very modern!
That is not just a mirror on the wall by the way, it’s a full-on medicine cabinet ready for your toothbrushes and whatever else you need to store in there.
You’ll see below that on the toilet and in the shower Josh the RV Nerd has plenty of space! (He’s just over 6′ tall.)
Bedroom of the 2024 Rockwood 2616BH
The bedroom of the 2616BH is a true queen bed – not just one of those camp queen-sized ones you often see in RVs. This room is where you’ll find that second air conditioner if you choose to go that route. The door and window in the room here help maximize airflow. You’ll love all of the closet space they’ve included here. Check it out in the photo below.
Traveling in the 2024 Rockwood 2616BH
Alright, let’s be honest. Road mode is not super accessible with this RV. With the slides closed you lose access to the bedroom and the kitchen – which is basically half of the RV. But, with that said, it is a rack and pinion slide set up so you can partially open the slides in order to squeeze by them if you need to.

Camping in the 2024 Rockwood 2616BH
One of the stand-out features of the exterior here is the drop frame front storage.
Is it just me or does this look like one of those baggage conveyors that you see carrying your luggage from the cart to the plane? This thing is insane! In a good way!
The awning is large and features a center support, and there’s even an outside TV mount and hot and cold sprayer for the griddle station.
Potential Problems With the 2024 Rockwood 2616BH
The limited kitchen storage might be a challenge for some, so make sure to plan your kitchen essentials wisely. Additionally, the sewer hookup being partially covered by slides could be an inconvenience, especially if you need to access it frequently.
